About the Role
Ortman Consulting maintains a standing bench of network engineers for recurring enterprise network pursuits (VA NEDIIS-class, SSA NISS-class, and DoD/IC transport). This is an evergreen posting — we build the bench ahead of award. Qualified candidates are screened now and engaged via a contingent Letter of Intent that activates when a supporting contract is won. Levels: Journeyman (3+), Senior (8+), Principal (12+).
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Routing & switching (IPv4/IPv6); enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto and/or Juniper)
Active Directory / DNS integration, WLAN, NAC, VPN, and network monitoring platforms
Familiarity with DoD STIGs and secure network operations
U.S. citizen; able to obtain and maintain at least a Public Trust
Preferred:
F5-class application delivery; scripting (Python / PowerShell)
Active Secret, TS, or TS-SCI eligibility (prioritized)
