Why This Mission Matters

Executive Order 14426 directs the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs to modernize how military personnel and medical records are shared. The order requires interoperability in future medical and personnel IT contracts and directs the agencies to review relevant existing contracts for potential modification.
