About the Role

Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision. Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyberdefense, coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace. Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements;
researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses
and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost
estimates. Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation. Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts. Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs. Responsible
for the design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or
system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments. Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform
IT interconnectivity.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fully certified IAW DoD 8570 IAT Level II; IAT CSSP Infrastructure certification is contract required.

  • TS/SCI, CI poly desired.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education related to specific functional area.

  • Demonstrated substantive knowledge and significant experience relevant to the functional area of at least 8 years (may substitute 4 years of experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree, or substitute master’s degree in lieu of 2 years of experience).

  • Experience working collaboratively with staff at all experience levels to

    deliver short-term, medium-term, and long-term commitments. Experience completing and

    coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams in either a lead or supporting role. Experience

    providing coaching and mentoring to lower-level team members.

  • Experience leading and developing and delivering exceptionally complex capabilities and processes

    in one or more of the following areas: Experience in one or more of the following areas. Develops

    and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to define engineering

    requirements, providing guidance and direction for analysis, investigation, implementation, and

    testing of complex and advanced information systems requiring expert application of advanced

    knowledge.

  • May perform one or more of the following functions: design technical architectures;

    develop and apply advanced research techniques to software, hardware, policy and/or

    communications functional requirements or interfaces; or implement strategic plans for complex or

    large-scale information systems. May serve as the primary interface and point of contact with the

    client, manage and control financial and administrative programs or technical requirements, and

    provide daily supervision and direction to staff.
